“Is our baby okay?” Taylor asked
frantically.
We can all tell that her heart was
beating erratically because of the fact that her heart meter was going off.
Kat, Sarah and I all looked at Dustin who was holding his wife’s hand and with
a smile on his face. I’m guessing that’s a good thing? A good sign? It better
be.
“Yes, our baby is okay. You took a hard
fall, but the only damage you have is your head.” Dustin explained, causing all
of us, including Taylor to sigh thankfully.
“I swear to god Taylor, if you ever
scare us like that, I’m going to kick you in the cooch. Words of Ashley.” I
laughed softly, as Kat texted Ashley, giving her the update.
“Look, I got excited about the food I
was getting so I raced downstairs. I’m telling you, we need to move the bedroom
downstairs.” Taylor groaned, her annoyance being heard from her voice.
Dustin just shook his head at her
comment but kissed her forehead anyway, telling Taylor that it’s best to get
some rest and he’ll give her some food when she wakes up again.
“I deserve special treatment. I’m a wife
of a hockey player.” Taylor mumbled as she settled herself in.
“She really just said that….” Sarah
said, looking at us surprised.

Corey’s POV in Chicago after the game~~~~
Oh great, another loss… this is what I
really needed. All of the fans booing me and telling me that I suck when I
leave the parking lot. I didn’t ask for this. This isn’t because Jamila’s gone.
I’ve went through that stage of her leaving to do work and missing games. What
the hell is even going on with me? I personally don’t even think it’s me.
As I approached the locker room,
everyone was quiet. I didn’t make eye contact with anyone, I wasn’t in the mood
for pep talks, conversations, anything. I really wasn’t. Taking my gear off, I
sighed being more relaxed since I’m not in 60 pounds worth of gear anymore. I was
gathering my materials when I heard a little girl’s voice running into the
room. My smile instantly showed when I heard my daughter.
“Excuse me,” Christina said while
passing through the guys “Hi daddy!” She exclaimed, sitting in my booth.
“Hey Princess. Where’s Amy?” I asked curiously
when I noticed that Amy wasn’t behind her. I swear, if she left my kid roam
free around the back, she’s fired as a babysitter.
“She’s out there. Mommy called and said
that Auntie Tay was hurt.” Christina said, looking at the other guys and feeling
cornered. “Daddy, can we go now?”
I had to bypass the fact that Taylor was
in the hospital, I will most likely call Jamila about that later. Knowing that
Christina was beginning to become uneasy and very uncomfortable, I told her to
say goodbye to the guys so we can leave.
***
Being home for less than an hour, I decided
to just make frozen lasagna for dinner. Thank god for frozen food or all of us
would have gone hungry. After dishing out Christina’s food, I excused myself
from the table and quickly picked up the phone to call Jamila.
“Hm,
hello?” Jamila answered, groggily as
ever. I knew I just woke her up, I will not hear the end of this.
“Hey baby, how’s Taylor?” I asked
curiously, while I poured some apple juice in the cup for Chrissy.
“Okay
first of all, you woke me up at an ungodly hour, how rude, and secondly, she’s
okay. The only damage that happed was that she hit her head. But the baby is
okay.” Jamila said softly. While she
spoke, I heard Dustin in the background talking about something irrelevant. I
was going to ask what it was, but decided to forget about.
“That’s good. Hey listen, we’ll be there
Sunday morning. I think Christina wants to go to access to meet some people.”
“Tell
her that mommy is excited to see her,”
She laughed “Hey, I’ll call you tomorrow.
Tell everyone I said hi and don’t forget to feed Bella!”
“Yeah, yeah. I’ll talk to you later. I
love you.”
“I
love you too!” Jamila said, then
hanged up the phone.
I placed the phone back on the charger
and sighed when I looked down at my feet to see the dog there. “I completely
forgot we even had a dog.” I said while going into the pantry to get the dog
food. I was just glad she didn’t bring up the game…
~~~ My POV
in California; Sunday: Night of WrestleMania ~~~
“Jam why are you shaking?” Jenny asked
while she looked at me.
My legs were shaking, obvious sign that
I’m nervous as hell, my hands were shaking, and I just couldn’t stop tapping my
thumbs on my phone screen. This is my first ever WrestleMania that I’m competing
in and I just couldn’t be any more nervous. Kat, Jenny and I were all sitting
in a private locker room that was so gladly provided for us.
Last time I was here in San Francisco…
well I honestly don’t know the last time I was here, but it’s nerve-wracking
knowing that there’s going to be more fans in the arena then before. And that’s
what scares me.
“Yeah, I’m okay. I’m just really nervous
that’s all.” I smiled at Jenny and looked over at the screen.
Seeing that they were cutting a promo,
which was a sign that it was now time for us to get going. Looking over at Kat
and Jenny, I smiled big and stood up. Looking more confident than I really am.
“Ready ladies?!” I exclaimed, fixing my
wrestling suit a bit.
I am so glad I lost the baby weight.
“Jammy, you can’t be ready if you’re
shaking like a leaf.” Kat spoke, making me glare at her with enough anger.
“I’m fine! Now come on!”
Walking out of the dressing room, I looked
at everyone that was in sight. Hall of Famers, Vince, Hunter, Stephanie and
etc., this is real, this is really happening. All three of us were thankful
that our family and friends were able to make the trip down here. Even Taylor
was able to make the trip after her freak accident a couple days ago.
As we approached the curtain, Kat and I
were jamming out to Kid Ink’s performance that is currently taking place
outside right now. I love Kid Ink. But poor Jenny didn’t even know what the
hell he was saying or what the hell was even going on. Country girl, poor
thing. As the applause went on, I smiled when they came back from the ramp and I
had to hold in my excitement in. Sadly enough.
Seeing Heather and the Bella Twins walk
out first, I rolled my eyes at the trio. “Why do they think they’re top shit?”
I whispered at Jenny and Kat.
“Botox and Boob jobs.” They replied.
Just causing me to laugh.
Paige and AJ both finally arrived to
meet up with us with smiles on their faces. I guess they’re happy to see us?
Yeah I guess, I don’t know, but that was really awkward to be honest. Watching
the trio walk out, I stood with my head held high and took a deep breath.
“Here we go…” AJ whispered to herself.
We decided to all take Jenny’s music
like before, because well… she is older and more experienced. Jenny was the
first to lead the group; followed by Kat, myself, AJ and Paige. While walking
down the ramp, I couldn’t help but smile and wave and everyone I saw in sight. This
is so surreal that I’m finally at the grandest stage of them all. And I can
share this moment with my best friends and family.
As we continued to walk, I stopped at
the side to give everyone I know in the front row a smile and hug. It’s crazy
that the whole Hawks team is even here. I never knew they were coming. That really
put a huge smile on Kat’s face also. Entering the ring, all 5 of us were just
celebrating. Celebrating like we’ve already won; but we didn’t. Yet.
***
With a roll up pin, Kat held Heather in
the position and impatiently waited for the three count.
“Come on! Come on!” She shouted
repeatedly.
Another ref came running down the ramp
and slid right into the ring. Due to Nikki Bella knocking the ref out on
purpose, all hell broke loose. It was crazy to even begin with. Jenny and I were
on the side, but both AJ and Paige were fighting the Twins. Looking at the ref,
Jenny and I were both jumping up and down like idiots.
“I…2…3! Ring the bell!” The ref shouted.
Kat got off of Heather, jumping and
cheering with the rest of the girls. I was in tears because I was happy enough
to do this with my best friend and cousin. Looking into the crowd, we all saw
our friends cheering with pride and such love. I am so grateful we had this
wonderful opportunity. Getting out of the ring, all of the girls went up the
ramp and backstage getting a line of claps from everyone. All we could say was
thank you and hug everyone back.
“Mommy, mommy!” I heard a distant cry
behind everyone and I made my way through to see my little girl.
“Christina!!” I yelled, picking her up
into my arms, but groaning a bit due to the pain.
“You did great mommy.” She smiled,
playing with her headphones.
Hearing those words come from my
daughter made me so happy and proud. I don’t even know what else to say but
thank you.
“Auntie Kat and cousin JenJen, you too!”
Christina giggled.
“Thanks Christina.” Both Jenny and Kat
replied.
I was thankful to know that my husband
was here even with my old wrestling merchandise Jenny and I both had back in
the day. I swear, I thought I had thrown all of that out. But I’m so happy that
he was really supporting me. But all in all, this has been a wonderful night
for everyone and I’m glad that we can finally go home and rest.
But next stop; Stanley Cup Playoffs!!
