Round 1 - Game 2; // Part 3 of 23 //

~~~~ Kat’s POV; in Chicago ~~~~
“Okay first of all, Kevin and Jamila only had sex like twice and then her and Corey bump and grind 24/7 when they officially got together. So there’s no way in hell that Christina is Kevin’s.” Sarah spoke, shaking her head knowing that this is absolute bullshit.
“Listen, if my OTP gets together and Christina is actually Kevin’s, I would like to-”
“Shut up Ashley!” Everyone, even Taylor shouted.
“Rude asses.” Ashley mumbled.
“Did you even know if he’s just doing this to get back with Jamila?” I asked Taylor.
“I don’t know, but, I swear to god, if he is, I’ll kill him myself!” Taylor whispered quietly.
“You and me both.” Sarah rolled her eyes, crossing her arms over her chest.
~~~~ My POV; in New York ~~~~

I was currently on skype with Corey after the game at MSG. I’m happy that he’s resting finally after that… horrendous first period at game 1, but I was glad that he officially calmed himself and knew that he’ll be better next time. Christina had already fallen asleep a few minutes after we had come home and told me to tell daddy she said hi. It was cute because my dad decided to read her an old bedtime story he read to me all the time when I was her age.

“How was the game?” Corey asked me while he tried to adjust his laptop.’’

“It was…. Eventful. The ‘Game 2 Curse’ is actually very real because it was an awkward lost. But that wasn’t what made it eventful,” I told Corey, causing him to raise his eyebrow “I saw Heather.”

“Whoa,” He looked at me with wide eyes “I’m surprised you’re not calling me from central booking.”

“That’s not funny,” I glared “But it was…. Nice? I mean we talked during intermission, caught up on some stuff, told her it was nice kicking her ass at WrestleMania. All while Christina was playing with Stepan.” I shrugged my shoulders, drinking some more of my tea.

“Listen, just be glad that you guys had fun… minus the lost. But you get what I mean.” Corey grinned.

“Oh by the way, how was it sitting from the bench and watching?” I smiled casually.

***

“Oh do you have to go?” Victoria pouted while my dad started putting our bags into the car.

“Yeah I have to go, I have to make sure my house is still intact. Sarah has a key, so I have to make sure all of my stuff is there.” I told my step-mother, resting my head on her shoulder as I sighed heavily.

“I hate plane rides.” Christina grumbled.

“Christina Sarah, what did I tell you about that word?” I looked at her sternly, seeing that she was now hiding her face behind Amy.

“You said that all the time at her age though.” Victoria piped in.

“Shut up, Vicky,” I rolled my eyes, giving her a huge hug before getting into my dad’s car.

I was so happy when he decided it would be a good idea to not use a cab. I hated cabbies. I don’t know what it was, but it makes me upset knowing that I had to go back on the damn plane for god knows how many hours back home. The real question is, is my house still in one piece. That is the real question.

~~~ Taylor’s POV ~~~
“Okay so, repeat the story again? How are you going to win Jamila back with this?” I looked at Kevin with a stern, yet unfocused face.
I really don’t get the point as to why Kevin is doing this. Jamila is obviously happy with her family and he just doing all of this just shows that he’s mental. Mental isn’t even the word now, this idiot is just downright crazy as hell.
“I am going to call Jamila, tell her that I think that something just isn’t right. Then I’m going to say that I think Christina is mine. We go on Maury, and this whole thing live and boom, I get to say that Chrissy is mine; her and Crawford break up, she comes running back to me and then we’ll be together again.” Kevin explained, making me look at him with a shocked expression.
“Whoa, pause, who the hell ever mentioned Maury? Do you want to ruin her life or embarrass her? Because you’re obviously doing both.”
“I just want her back.” Kevin muttered quietly, causing me to roll my eyes.
“You’re a sad human being and really need to move the hell on. Don’t you have a girlfriend?!” I explained.
“Yeah, but I can always dump her.”
“Babe, is it time for my nap!?” I called out, hoping to God that he’ll say yes.
“Yeah, in about 5 minutes!” He responded from the kitchen.
“Oh, well Kevin. It looks like you have to go. Never come back now, ya’ hear?” I smiled, walking him out through the front door and shutting the door behind him.
This guy is fucking nuts. I’m still trying to figure out how he knew where I live.
~~~ Corey’s POV; In Nashville – Game 2 ~~~

“Alright, that’s babe. Tell everyone the guys and myself all said hi. Okay, I love you too. Bye honey.”

Game 2 is close to starting and it feels weird being here in Nashville again, but this time, I’m not starting. I had to explain to Christina right before the practice why I was pulled the last game. For a three year old, she’s starting to understand more and more about why I’m not starting and why certain things happen. It’s a buzzkill telling her no, but she’s going to learn someday. Being the nice parent turned out to be the hardest thing ever. I can see why Jamila is more of the tough love kind of parent.

Suiting up for the game – I was a bit nervous because of my terrible performance at game one, but maybe there’s a chance I might improve a lot. Thank god I deleted my twitter.

***

I was wrong. It’s now the third period and we are down 4 points. I don’t know how difficult this can get. I know for fucking fact that I will not be starting the next game. When the buzzer rang for the end of the game, I quickly skated over to the bench and went through the doors for the locker room. Keeping to myself, I stayed quiet and just got myself dressed. This isn’t what I wanted. This is not what anyone wanted. I obviously failed everyone in this locker room and all the fans watching.

~~~ My POV; after the game in Chicago ~~~
“Mommy, that was bad.” Christina frowned while she hugged her teddy bear that Kat had given her for her first birthday.
“Yeah honey… but in a few days, it’ll be a new game and everything. We get to finally go to a hockey with daddy.” I smiled, hopefully she’ll at least cheer up after that horrific loss.
All Christina did was shrug her shoulders and got off of the couch and went upstairs. Sighing heavily, I rested my head on Ashley’s shoulder and watched my daughter disappear up the steps.
“She’s growing up so fast.” I whimpered, faking wiping the tears from my eyes.
“I think she’ll be fine. Next thing you know, she’s going to hockey games with her boyfriend, cheering Corey on and cursing every time a bad call is being made.” Kat spoke, causing me to roll my eyes a bit.
“She’s not going to be dating. Christina can’t even hang out with the little boy from down the street without freaking out.” I told Kat.
“That’s a sigh. Chrissy isn’t going to be dating for a really long time.” Sarah smiled, most likely thanking god at this point, for no apparent reason.
I sighed thinking that she’ll be dating in about 13 years and I will have to give her the sex talk. Oh god, my parents didn’t prepare me for this. Looking over at the time, I asked the girls if they would be able to stay over. Mostly because knowing the guys, they would all be coming here anyway for a good home cooked meal. I don’t mind at all. I love cooking for everyone. It made me happy realizing that they actually appreciate my cooking, those asses.
The girls decided to just sleep downstairs, mostly because they were too lazy and tried to go upstairs and sleep. I had to go upstairs to get blankets, pillows and to also check up on Christina before going to bed, since I’m sleeping downstairs with them.
Entering Christina’s room, I peeked my head inside to see if she was asleep, but to find out that she was awake and on her iPad. I rolled my eyes and stepped inside the room and turned the lights on.
“Christina Sarah Crawford, why are you awake?” I asked her, dropping the pillows and blankets on the floor.
“I can’t sleep mommy. And I know Auntie Sarah, Ashley and Kat are sleeping over… but I never get invited to those sleepovers.” Christina frowned when she placed her iPad on the bed.
“Oh honey… Why didn’t you say anything? You know you’re always invited to sleepovers with us.” I reassured her, moving her hair behind her ear “Okay how about this, you can bring your pillow and blanket and you can sleep next to me. Does that make you feel better?”
“Yes,” Christina exclaimed, getting up from her bed and gathering all of the materials she needed and left the room. But came back in seconds later “Come on mommy! We’re going to miss the sleepover!”
I laughed at her excitement, getting up from the bed and picking back up the pillows and blankets from off the floor, turning the lights off and walking out of the bedroom. Going downstairs with Christina, I told the girls that have one more addition to the sleepover, causing them to get excited and patting a spot for Christina on the couch. This makes me sad because this will be the last sleep over till the guys are away on the road again. I always love these girls, no matter what.
Author’s Note: Hello lovely humans, as you may know, I have started college. And right now, I decided, with the help of Bubbles, to go back to 23 parts instead of doing 28. It took me forever to finish this part 3 for some reason so I deeply apologize for the very long wait!!
Round 1 - Game 2 (Rangers) // Part 2 - 28
~~~ Taylor’s POV; in Los Angeles ~~~

It was a little after 3 in the afternoon, I had just came back from my appointment, I am actually surprised I even got up this morning due to the fact that the hawks kept me up at such an ungodly hour… even though the game ended around 8 my time if you think about it. But I don’t know, I was still mad, at least I was able to joke about Crawford being pulled without Jamila trying to kill me or anything. The guys were upstairs working on the nursery and I was downstairs in the living room catching up on my stories, and my stories, and my stories, I mean Love and Hip-Hop Atlanta.

“Maybe I should be the Puerto Rican Princess, but god, never mind.” I rolled my eyes slightly as I popped another grape into my mouth.

I don’t know what it is, but when Jammy was pregnant, all she did was grub on grapes. And now I can’t stop eating grapes… shit’s gross. But anyway, as I was watching TV, the doorbell suddenly rang. I shouted out that I got it and approached the front door minutes later. Just a thought, I really should have looked through the window or the peephole.

“Kevin?” I looked at him shockingly.

Vancouver is just a tad bit north buddy… what the hell?

~~~ My POV; in New York ~~~
Today was the day of the Rangers home game. Game 2 to be exact against Pittsburgh. I told Corey that Amy, Christina and I were all taking the trip to New York to see the Rangers play at home. I’ve been told about the ‘Game 2 Curse’ with them, but I didn’t want to believe it. I am naïve so to speak so I mean, it just wasn’t working for me at all. I was thankful that my dad was allowing us to stay at their house since my apartment is Brooklyn was turned into a crack house a few years ago.
While we were getting our stuff from the baggage claims, looked around the airport, seeing all the people rushing with their briefcase and suitcases, probably trying to catch the last minute flights and whatnot, really shows how much I missed New York. Christina on the other hand, was not enjoying the airport at all, all she could do was stand close to me and cover her ears, and hide her face. I was an idiot for taking her noise canceling headphones away from her when we got off the plane.
“Mommy can we go home now please?” Christina whimpered, looked up at Amy and myself.
“Yes, honey, we’re leaving now. We need to get a taxi first.” I told her as I took one of her hands and our bags in the other.
“I can’t believe you used to live here….” Amy muttered; looking over the place and gagging in the process.
“I never lived in JFK Airport, I lived in Brooklyn, thank you.” I grinned.
Amy just rolled her eyes at my comment and walked out of the airport to hall a taxi. I stood next to Christina and tried to calm her down since she was still overwhelmed with everything.
***
When we arrived at my dad’s condo, I paid the taxi driver and got out of the car – grabbing our luggage in the process. As we walked to the front door, I rang the doorbell and waited for someone to answer the door. All we heard from behind the door was barking and yelling. Victoria. The door suddenly opened and I looked up to see Victoria, looking young as ever. I don’t get how she never ages… it bothers me.
“Grandma Vee!” Christina shouted, hugging Victoria’s leg.
“Hey pumpkin! Jamila! Oh my goodness, you’ve grown.” Victoria gasped as she pointed at my boobs.
I rolled my eyes and told her to move to the side because these bags are extremely heavy. “Listen, this is what happens when she is in my stomach for more than 9 months. Practically almost killed me.”
“At least she’s here and healthy!” Amy spoke up.
“Oh who’s this?” Victoria asked curiously when she looked at Amy.
“I’m Amy. Corey’s cousin.” She introduced herself, holding her hand out for her to shake.
“Oh you’re the Amy! I remember you at the wedding, honey, we’re family, come in for a hug.” Victoria hugged Amy; laughing in the process.
Christina had went upstairs a few minutes ago to put her stuff away like I told her to. Even after I asked, Victoria told me that my room is still the same after I left it when Bieksa was here. That’s extremely weird and awkward because you would have thought they would have done something to my room already, but I guess not. I just hope all of those stuff from Bieksa are gone. I have no time to explain everything to Christina. I never have time to explain anything to Christina.
I had texted Corey telling him that we’ve landed and arrived at my dad’s place safely and that we’ll be on our way to MSG in a few hours. I’m exactly excited to see the guys today because it’s been forever and Christina has been dying to see Stepan for the longest while and I really can’t keep her waiting. Child is extremely impatient. God knows where she gets that from.
Amy, Christina, Victoria and myself were all sitting in the living room, me with a cup of mint tea of course and just catching up on a few things. It feels great that I have a wonderful relationship with my mother-in-law after all of the drama that happened in my teen years. It just feels great to come back home with open arms and nothing less.
“Victoria who was knocking on the do--”
“Dad!” I screeched, putting my tea on the coffee table and went over to hug him.
“Oh lord, I knew I heard trouble,” My dad laughed while returning the hug.
“Listen, I’m a wonderful adult now.” I glared at him playfully.
“Hi grandpa.” Christina waved her hand nervously.
Christina was still getting used to my dad, due to the fact that during the wedding party, my dad disappeared after the father daughter dance and went somewhere else. It was disappointing if you ask me, I don’t know why he did it, but he sure as hell got a terrible reaction from my mother. And yes, my birth mother was at my wedding. I couldn’t let her miss that. It was more of an ‘I’m sorry you missed the birth of your first grandchild’ kind of thing.
***
It was a little after 5 in the afternoon, just 2 hours till game time and we were already settled into the box seats. I was happy that AV hooked us up with these seats. God bless his soul. Amy, Christina, Victoria, my dad, and I were all relaxing in the booth till I got a text from St. Louis.
“Hey, whenever you’re ready, you and the little one can come in now, everyone is dressed (:.”
I replied saying that I’ll be there in a few minutes and told Christina that we need to go get some food. She really wasn’t that clever because we had already gotten food, but with her Stepan jersey on, I was going to surprise her.
“Mommy, are we backstage?” She looked up at me with a curious look when she noticed the posters and the trophies.
“Why yes honey, we are. I have a surprise for you.” I smiled, knocking on the door to the Rangers locker room and her mouth dropped.
When coach AV opened the door, Christina gasped and covered her mouth while running into the room and everyone casually laughed at her while I stood at the entrance. All she did was stood there and looked around and stopped when she saw Derek and ran up to him.
“I am wearing your jersey,” Christina whispered “But don’t tell daddy, he’ll get mad.”
Derek simply laughed at Christina in a friendly way, reaching out to give her a hug and said thank you for coming. She looked over at me and smiled signaling me to come in.
“Whose jersey are you wearing mommy?” She asked curiously while looking behind me.
“St. Louis’ honey.” I nodded my head towards his stall.
“You score for mommy okay? And you score for me!” She smiled, clapping her hands together as she shouted Showtime. Poor thing.
After hanging out with the guys for a few minutes, Christina and I exited the locker room to head back to our seats, I was trying to talk to my daughter when I suddenly bumped into someone.
“Oh, I’m sor-”
“Shit sorry – oh my god….” I stopped, looking up to see Heather “What are you doing here?”
“My husband and half-brother have a game tonight.” She smiled, placing her hand on her hips.
I just looked at her a bit confused because I didn’t know the bitch was married to begin with, nor did she have a half-brother.
“Malkin my husband and Sidney my half-brother.” Heather responded when she noticed my confusing look.
“Mommy can we go?” Christina looked at me and glared at Heather. I rolled my eyes at the fact that she rolled her eyes at Heather.
“Yeah honey hold on. Um… we’ll talk after the game yeah?” I smiled slightly at Heather and took Christina had to go back to our original area.
That was weird.
~~~ Kat’s POV ~~~

“Jammy told me that she ran into Heather at the Rangers game!” I shouted since Ashley and Sarah were both in the living room watching TV.

“Holy shit that must have been awkward as hell?” Ashley thought.

“I would have walked passed her and not say anything at all.’” Sarah responded.

Since everyone is out and about, their boyfriends and my husband being in Nashville still and our usual hangout spot being Jamila’s house, we had nothing else to do but still at Sarah’s house. She does have the second largest house. Fucking hell.

“Listen, I’m glad we’re home. I don’t have to deal with the drama. What if there’s a huge fight?” Sarah laughed, eating another chip as I walked back into the living room.

“Like hockey wise or Heather and Jammy wise?” I asked curiously.

“Both!” Ashley shouted.

Resuming the movie that we were trying to finish watch after so long – we’ve been pausing and playing the movie all day because so much stuff was causing us to do that with the movie, it was quite annoying. But at least we were finally being able to watch it. But just then, someone’s phone started going off and it caused all of us to groan.

Ashley said that it was her phone that was ringing and answered it, putting the phone on speaker, “Yes Taylor?”

“Okay listen, I’m in my bathroom and guess who’s here!”

“Who?” We all responded.

“Kevin! He has this awkward idea that Christina is his baby.”

“NO!” Sarah and I yelled into the phone.

“JEVIN IS COMING BACK BITCHES!” Ashley shouted in excitement.

Oh god… here we go…

To be continued...

Author’s note: Just a little heads up, I added a few more parts to this, don’t hate me! But I promise, these chapters should be coming faster, only because college is starting soon and I don’t want to have you guys waiting forever. Lol remember I went a whole 3 years to update, so please bear with me, loves!

Round 1 - Game 1; // Part 1 of 23 //

It’s now April. Playoff season. Which means, Corey is going to be growing out his crazy ass beard and he’s keeping his curly hair. This is going to be a wonderful, wonderful ride. Since we weren’t able to go to enough playoff games last few seasons with Christina due to her multiple doctor trips back and forth. It’s just a struggle trying to keep her occupied when she’s supposed to be staying still and shit.

Getting out of bed this morning, I groaned due to the fact that Corey was getting ready to leave for Nashville and I had to get Christina ready for her yearly checkup. Little thing was so excited when she found out that her dad is starting tonight, so all she could think about was getting ready to go to Nashville tonight. But sadly, we can’t go because I wasn’t trying to be around a field of yellow jerseys for a long periodical time. I just don’t have the patience.

But when they are playing at home, then yes, we will go to a game. That’s a promise that I can’t break. Since us and the other girls are able to have the better seats in just chilling’ in the box room, it’s a good thing to get away from crazy and crazy fans. Walking down the steps to find Corey on the couch, I groaned once again due to the sight of his hair and facial hair.

“How long do you have to keep this up?” I asked curiously, sitting down on the couch next to Corey.

“Until we win the cup or lose in a round, then I’ll shave it.” Corey answered, not even looking down at me when he replied.

“What if Chrissy ask you to shave it?”

“Then I’ll tell her the same thing I told you.” Corey grinned as he finally looked at me, kissing my forehead with a sheepish grin.

Asshole was only thing I can say in my mind due to Christina coming down the steps in a pair of jeans and her daddy’s jersey, infant size of course.

“Mommy, I’m ready for daddy’s game! Let’s go kick ass!” Christina screeched when she jumped off the last step.

“Christina Sarah Crawford!” Corey and I gasped when we heard Christina curse.

See, I don’t know if it’s the amount of wrestling she watches, or it’s the amount of times she hears the guys in the locker room, but I for one do not curse around Christina. I mean it slips once in a while, but I quickly correct myself ASAP.

“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean it. Please don’t hit me.” She whimpered, hiding behind the counter.

I shook my head and got up from the couch to go into the kitchen to begin making breakfast. I had a feeling that someone is coming to come get Corey so they can go to the airport together. So I decided to make food for at least everyone. I had muffins in the microwave already. I was feeling generous.

“Christina, no one hanging around Auntie Sarah.” Corey whispered to her, making me roll my eyes in a playful manner.

~~~~ Taylor’s POV ~~~~
I have finally left the hospital and I’ve never felt so much better. I hate the hospital, and I honestly hate nurses and doctors. I made sure that Dustin moved the bed into the guest room downstairs, but even when he asked, he told me that I was an idiot and I should move past it. Even though he’s my oh so loving husband, I’m going to kick his ass because of that comment
I feel weird being home for a playoff season, it’s a weird feeling knowing that my best friends are all going to playoff games, and then there’s me. Home. Home all day, unless I feel like going out. Which won’t happen, so I’ll be home.  Relaxing on the couch with Trevor, my late best friend’s son, and watching Bob’s Burgers.
“Auntie Taylor when is Uncle Dustin coming home?” Trevor asked while he played with his train set.
I looked over at the clock on the wall to see that it was almost 12 in the afternoon, “He should be here soon. I promise, Uncle Brownie did pick up your Oreo shake from Burger King.” I told Trevor, tossing him another cheese ball.
“Good, I would be very upset if he didn't.”
I simply just laughed at his comment, realizing how he really does act like his mother. I’m actually really happy that she did as much as she could as a mother to raise Trevor as the handsome young boy he is. I was glad to see her take care of him and gave me points when I did something right! Not real points, but you know what I mean.
After a few minutes of tossing back and forth cheese balls at one another, the front door suddenly opened and a storm of guys just came inside of the house. I turned around to practically see half of the Kings team here and I groaned loudly. I didn’t even fucking clean the house, and now they’re here.
“Taylor, I hope you don’t mind, the guys came over to help with stuff and talk about things.” Dustin told me, giving Trevor his Oreo shake.
“Talk about what exactly? How you guys failed to even try to be in the Stanley Cup playoffs, or what?” I smiled nonchalantly with my arms crossed over my chest.
“No, you ass,” Doughty, my, oh so loving cousin, said “We’re here to help with the baby room and talk about ways to become a stronger team.”
“Should have thought about that before getting kicked out.” I huffed, turning back to the TV.
“My goodness, she’s cranky when she’s pregnant.” Carter whispered.
“I heard that.”
~~~ My POV; 5:30 pm ~~~

Corey had left just a few hours ago to catch his flight to Nashville, thankfully the muffins were finished in time so they can have something to snack on while heading over to the capital of country music. Ugh, country music, I had to deal with that when I was growing up with Jenny.

Christina and I just returned from her doctor’s appointment, thankfully that the girls decided to come over to watch the game and to hang out before and after the game. Hopefully, for the love of god, they go home. I love my friends, but damn they are here too much.

Sarah, Kat, Ashley, Amy and I were all relaxing on the outdoor couches with the fire going like we did a few weeks ago, and Christina playing in her sandbox. We were all talking about how we’re so excited for the playoff games to start and then we started talking about our lovely brackets that we created.

“So, who did you guys have winning the cup this year?” Ashley asked all of us.

“The Wings.” Sarah said.

“Rangers.” I replied.

“Blackhawks” Kat answered.

“Montreal.” Amy squealed, causing us to look over at her.

“What the hell was the squeal for?” I looked at her curiously.

“I just want my home to win a Cup again.” Amy pouted, looking down at the floor.

I rolled my eyes and shook my head “Listen, y’all have 24 wins. We need a chance. And by us, I mean Rangers, because you know, they haven’t had a win since the OJ trial, and I’m getting really old.” I pointed out, causing everyone to shake their heads and laugh.

“Auntie Ashley, can you help me with the sandbox please?” Christina asked when she approached us, giving everyone a smile after asking.

“Is it the sandcastle? Yeah I saw you were…” Ashley spoke, her voice trailing off while she and Christina walked away.

Taking out my phone, I decided to quickly send Corey and good luck text, along with Henrik, from the Rangers, a text as well. Even though they have a game tomorrow, game 2 to be exact, and I wanted to send him and his team a good luck.

~~~~ Corey’s POV ~~~~
After receiving a good luck text from Jamila, I placed my phone back into the stall and looked up when Coach Q came into the room. As always giving us pointers and all of that good stuff. At least I was grateful to know that I have people watching from home, other than the fans. Who are probably wishing I get pulled, but oh well, that tends to happen almost every game anyway, I have gotten used to it.
As we all were getting up to make out way to the ice, all I saw was yellow. I swear to god, I wasn’t hallucinating or anything, but literally everything was yellow. Some say gold, but that was nothing but bullshit. Yellow is such an odd color, please god, don’t ever make me get traded to this god for saking team.
“Corey!” Kane yelled as he skated over to me.
“What?” I looked up at him with a curious look.
“You’ll be fine. We’re all counting on you. Just breathe.” Kane smiled taking his stick on my goalie pads, giving him a nod as a thank you.
This is going to be one hell of a period, let me tell you that.
***
Looking up at the clock to see that it’s been almost 6 minutes into the period, was just looking upon everything that was happening at the other end of the ice, and next thing I know, Colin Wilson, comes out of nowhere and scores. I’m not pissed off, I’m just a little bit flabbergasted that this even happened.
Then a few minutes went by and boom Viktor scores. Weren’t we on the same team?! Fucking asshole, now I’m pissed. I don’t even know what’s going on but I’m seeing red. Score is 2-0 what am I supposed to do.
3-0 later… What the fuck?! I’m disappointing a lot of people right now, mostly myself. What the hell?! Can this night get any worse?
Thank god it was time for intermission. When I heard that sound, I quickly skated off the ice and into the locker room. All I could do was keep my head down because that’s all I could do that this point.
~~~ My POV; Start of Second Period ~~~

“Mommy, mommy hurry! The game is starting!” Christina yelled from the living room.

I had to quickly whip up something to eat because we were running out of food. This is what happens when you have everyone over. And by everyone, I mean my, oh so loving friends, who likes to eat all of my stuff. They’re going to start paying for stuff, just you wait.

“I’m coming!” I hollered, coming back into the living room with all of the food and drinks.

The first period, was awful, I’ll give you that. Just horrible, but I really hope it didn’t get to the guys already, this isn’t going to be good if they are already down 3-0 and can’t come back from it. That’ll be terrible, and I won’t hear the last of it from the people in the gym. Those people complain a lot.

“Jammy, if the guys win, you better give Corey some good P-H-O-N-E space –S-E-X!” Kat spelled out when she took her food from the tray as the buzzer for the second period began.

“The fact that you spelled that out amuses me a lot.” Sarah laughed as continued to braid Christina’s hair….I won’t say continued, I would say attempted. Poor thing doesn’t know what she’s doing.

As the second period went underway, I crossed my legs over one another and looked directly at the TV, squinting my eyes and then making them pop open again numerous of times. If you can’t tell I’m nervous, well… I’m nervous.

“Jamila if you keep doing that, you’re going to end up needing those magnifying glasses type of glasses.” Ashley laughed while she kept looking back and forth with me and the TV.

“I’m freaking out here, damn. I kind of what a happy husband to talk to after this game.” I muttered, taking a sip from my cherry cola. “Kiss my ass Trashley.” I stuck my tongue out.

“Rude!” She glared, just as Hjalmarsson scored.

“Yay! Uncle Hammer!” Christina jumped, her small little hands raising up in the air.

“Did you teach her the nicknames?” Amy asked me.

I shook my head, “When she was starting to talk, more and more, Corey taught her everyone’s name, but she had a hard time with it, so he settled with the nicknames.” I shrugged my shoulders.

“Fair enough, at least she’s learning.” Kat smiled.

“Mommy where’s daddy?” Christina pouted as she looked at me and over at the TV, “Mommy?”

“Honey, Joel probably pulled him from the game. It’s okay sweetheart.” I quickly told Christina, hoping that she’ll get the concept just a bit.

Poor thing still doesn’t understand that when goalies are pulled, they’ve let in way too many goals, or well easy goals at that. Christina just looked at me, but her frown had deepened more because of the fact that I told her that her dad isn’t coming back into the game. Just a heartbreaking experience to watch with her.

***

“End of the first Overtime.” The announcer from the NBC sports team said, causing all of us to groan.

“What the hell man!” Ashley groaned, covering her face with the pillow.

“Why is this even going on? Who are these goalies?!” I whimpered, looking over at the time to see that it was 11 at night, way past Chrissy’s bedtime. Even though it was way past bedtime, that little butterfly was hyper as ever. This is not how I imagined a game one game.

But at least they tied up the game in the second! But it’s cutting into my beauty rest. I jumped slightly when I heard my phone go off, hearing that it was Taylor’s text message tone. I reached over to get my phone, looked at the message and read it out loud;

“Tell your husband and his dumb team to score. I have an OB/GYN appointment tomorrow!” I read, causing everyone to laugh.

“She has the right to call our team dumb. When's the Kings next game? Oh right… in September.” Kat spattered.

“That’s something we would tell Matt.” Sarah ginned, popping another chip in her mouth.

Rolling my eyes, I just replied saying to shut the hell up and go to bed “I’m too tired to even type anything sarcastic right now.” I groaned.

When the buzzer rang for the second overtime, we all tried to wake each other up somehow and shockingly it worked. We just needed a lot of sugar and loudness. Seven minutes and forty-nine seconds in, Duncan Keith in the goal winner.

“YES!” We all cheered, finally happy that it’s over.

“I see daddy!” Christina jumped as she pointed to the TV.

“Alright, alright everyone! Settle down, settle down!” Amy waved her hands as she stood in front of all of us.

“Jammy can we stay here? I’m too lazy to drive.” Ashley asked.

“Me too.” Said Sarah.

“Me three!” Kat piped in.

“When don’t you butts stay here?” I rolled my eyes playfully.

I decided to let the girls stay anyway because I’m a kind and generous person like that and I wasn’t going to let them drive home extremely tired. We watched a couple of shows before we all went upstairs into our respected rooms. I walked Christina into her room and tucked her in.

“Mommy?” Christina asked softly before I walked out of the room.

“Yes pumpkin?”

“Did daddy still win even if he didn’t play anymore?” She asked curiously.

This poor thing has so much to learn…

Accidents Can Happen (Part 2)

“Is our baby okay?” Taylor asked frantically.

We can all tell that her heart was beating erratically because of the fact that her heart meter was going off. Kat, Sarah and I all looked at Dustin who was holding his wife’s hand and with a smile on his face. I’m guessing that’s a good thing? A good sign? It better be.

“Yes, our baby is okay. You took a hard fall, but the only damage you have is your head.” Dustin explained, causing all of us, including Taylor to sigh thankfully.

“I swear to god Taylor, if you ever scare us like that, I’m going to kick you in the cooch. Words of Ashley.” I laughed softly, as Kat texted Ashley, giving her the update.

“Look, I got excited about the food I was getting so I raced downstairs. I’m telling you, we need to move the bedroom downstairs.” Taylor groaned, her annoyance being heard from her voice.

Dustin just shook his head at her comment but kissed her forehead anyway, telling Taylor that it’s best to get some rest and he’ll give her some food when she wakes up again.

“I deserve special treatment. I’m a wife of a hockey player.” Taylor mumbled as she settled herself in.

“She really just said that….” Sarah said, looking at us surprised.

~~~~ Corey’s POV in Chicago after the game~~~~
Oh great, another loss… this is what I really needed. All of the fans booing me and telling me that I suck when I leave the parking lot. I didn’t ask for this. This isn’t because Jamila’s gone. I’ve went through that stage of her leaving to do work and missing games. What the hell is even going on with me? I personally don’t even think it’s me.
As I approached the locker room, everyone was quiet. I didn’t make eye contact with anyone, I wasn’t in the mood for pep talks, conversations, anything. I really wasn’t. Taking my gear off, I sighed being more relaxed since I’m not in 60 pounds worth of gear anymore. I was gathering my materials when I heard a little girl’s voice running into the room. My smile instantly showed when I heard my daughter.
“Excuse me,” Christina said while passing through the guys “Hi daddy!” She exclaimed, sitting in my booth.
“Hey Princess. Where’s Amy?” I asked curiously when I noticed that Amy wasn’t behind her. I swear, if she left my kid roam free around the back, she’s fired as a babysitter.
“She’s out there. Mommy called and said that Auntie Tay was hurt.” Christina said, looking at the other guys and feeling cornered. “Daddy, can we go now?”
I had to bypass the fact that Taylor was in the hospital, I will most likely call Jamila about that later. Knowing that Christina was beginning to become uneasy and very uncomfortable, I told her to say goodbye to the guys so we can leave.
***
Being home for less than an hour, I decided to just make frozen lasagna for dinner. Thank god for frozen food or all of us would have gone hungry. After dishing out Christina’s food, I excused myself from the table and quickly picked up the phone to call Jamila.
“Hm, hello?” Jamila answered, groggily as ever. I knew I just woke her up, I will not hear the end of this.
“Hey baby, how’s Taylor?” I asked curiously, while I poured some apple juice in the cup for Chrissy.
“Okay first of all, you woke me up at an ungodly hour, how rude, and secondly, she’s okay. The only damage that happed was that she hit her head. But the baby is okay.” Jamila said softly. While she spoke, I heard Dustin in the background talking about something irrelevant. I was going to ask what it was, but decided to forget about.
“That’s good. Hey listen, we’ll be there Sunday morning. I think Christina wants to go to access to meet some people.”
“Tell her that mommy is excited to see her,” She laughed “Hey, I’ll call you tomorrow. Tell everyone I said hi and don’t forget to feed Bella!”
“Yeah, yeah. I’ll talk to you later. I love you.”
“I love you too!” Jamila said, then hanged up the phone.
I placed the phone back on the charger and sighed when I looked down at my feet to see the dog there. “I completely forgot we even had a dog.” I said while going into the pantry to get the dog food. I was just glad she didn’t bring up the game…
~~~ My POV in California; Sunday: Night of WrestleMania ~~~

“Jam why are you shaking?” Jenny asked while she looked at me.

My legs were shaking, obvious sign that I’m nervous as hell, my hands were shaking, and I just couldn’t stop tapping my thumbs on my phone screen. This is my first ever WrestleMania that I’m competing in and I just couldn’t be any more nervous. Kat, Jenny and I were all sitting in a private locker room that was so gladly provided for us.

Last time I was here in San Francisco… well I honestly don’t know the last time I was here, but it’s nerve-wracking knowing that there’s going to be more fans in the arena then before. And that’s what scares me.

“Yeah, I’m okay. I’m just really nervous that’s all.” I smiled at Jenny and looked over at the screen.

Seeing that they were cutting a promo, which was a sign that it was now time for us to get going. Looking over at Kat and Jenny, I smiled big and stood up. Looking more confident than I really am.

“Ready ladies?!” I exclaimed, fixing my wrestling suit a bit.

I am so glad I lost the baby weight.

“Jammy, you can’t be ready if you’re shaking like a leaf.” Kat spoke, making me glare at her with enough anger.

“I’m fine! Now come on!”

Walking out of the dressing room, I looked at everyone that was in sight. Hall of Famers, Vince, Hunter, Stephanie and etc., this is real, this is really happening. All three of us were thankful that our family and friends were able to make the trip down here. Even Taylor was able to make the trip after her freak accident a couple days ago.

As we approached the curtain, Kat and I were jamming out to Kid Ink’s performance that is currently taking place outside right now. I love Kid Ink. But poor Jenny didn’t even know what the hell he was saying or what the hell was even going on. Country girl, poor thing. As the applause went on, I smiled when they came back from the ramp and I had to hold in my excitement in. Sadly enough.

Seeing Heather and the Bella Twins walk out first, I rolled my eyes at the trio. “Why do they think they’re top shit?” I whispered at Jenny and Kat.

“Botox and Boob jobs.” They replied. Just causing me to laugh.

Paige and AJ both finally arrived to meet up with us with smiles on their faces. I guess they’re happy to see us? Yeah I guess, I don’t know, but that was really awkward to be honest. Watching the trio walk out, I stood with my head held high and took a deep breath.

“Here we go…” AJ whispered to herself.

We decided to all take Jenny’s music like before, because well… she is older and more experienced. Jenny was the first to lead the group; followed by Kat, myself, AJ and Paige. While walking down the ramp, I couldn’t help but smile and wave and everyone I saw in sight. This is so surreal that I’m finally at the grandest stage of them all. And I can share this moment with my best friends and family.

As we continued to walk, I stopped at the side to give everyone I know in the front row a smile and hug. It’s crazy that the whole Hawks team is even here. I never knew they were coming. That really put a huge smile on Kat’s face also. Entering the ring, all 5 of us were just celebrating. Celebrating like we’ve already won; but we didn’t. Yet.

***

With a roll up pin, Kat held Heather in the position and impatiently waited for the three count.

“Come on! Come on!” She shouted repeatedly.

Another ref came running down the ramp and slid right into the ring. Due to Nikki Bella knocking the ref out on purpose, all hell broke loose. It was crazy to even begin with. Jenny and I were on the side, but both AJ and Paige were fighting the Twins. Looking at the ref, Jenny and I were both jumping up and down like idiots.

“I…2…3! Ring the bell!” The ref shouted.

Kat got off of Heather, jumping and cheering with the rest of the girls. I was in tears because I was happy enough to do this with my best friend and cousin. Looking into the crowd, we all saw our friends cheering with pride and such love. I am so grateful we had this wonderful opportunity. Getting out of the ring, all of the girls went up the ramp and backstage getting a line of claps from everyone. All we could say was thank you and hug everyone back.

“Mommy, mommy!” I heard a distant cry behind everyone and I made my way through to see my little girl.

“Christina!!” I yelled, picking her up into my arms, but groaning a bit due to the pain.

“You did great mommy.” She smiled, playing with her headphones.

Hearing those words come from my daughter made me so happy and proud. I don’t even know what else to say but thank you.

“Auntie Kat and cousin JenJen, you too!” Christina giggled.

“Thanks Christina.” Both Jenny and Kat replied.

I was thankful to know that my husband was here even with my old wrestling merchandise Jenny and I both had back in the day. I swear, I thought I had thrown all of that out. But I’m so happy that he was really supporting me. But all in all, this has been a wonderful night for everyone and I’m glad that we can finally go home and rest.

But next stop; Stanley Cup Playoffs!!

Accidents Can Happen...

Waking up the next morning, I groaned when I heard banging on the front door. Not that many people knew where my hotel room was except my cousin, the girls and also Stephanie and Hunter. Getting up from the couch, I stepped over Kat and Sarah, and slowly made my way to the door. Passing the clock that was on the microwave, I groaned louder because it was literally the ass crack of dawn.

Walking over to the door, I unlocked it, not bothering to look through the peephole and opened the door; automatically being yelled that by none other than Heather.

“Who the hell invited you here?!” Heather yelled.

I just groaned internally while looking at Heather. This was so unnecessary, it’s the ass crack of dawn and I have to listen to this nonsense so early in the morning. Does she not know what sleep is? I didn’t even realize she was asking me a question until she started snapping in my face. Really…?

“I’m talking to you!”

“And I’m zoning you out. Listen, we have all the time in the world to fight and shit. I finally was able to get some rest, I miss my husband and daughter, and seeing your face is making me want to want Shrek.” I rolled my eyes, laughing to myself when Heather’s jaw dropped.

When she shrieked, turned on her heel and walked away, I simply just waved my fingers and gently closed the door behind me, not wanting to wake up the girls. Turning around, I yelped due to the fact that Kat was standing behind me, I’m guessing she heard the whole thing, so that mean I don’t have to waste my time telling her what happened.

“Tea?” Kat smiled, holding out the tea cup for me to take.

Thank god she remembers I love drinking tea so early in the morning when people are annoying me.

“Yes, please.” I

~~~~ Taylor’s POV in Los Angeles ~~~~
So, I have officially been told that I am now 2 months pregnant, and also… the Kings aren’t making the playoffs either. Isn’t this grand? When you’re hoping for another playoff run, boom, shit hits the fan. Walking around the condo in a tank top and sweatpants, I groaned still at the morning sickness I had just experienced minutes prior.
Dustin was out with the team at the Staple Center, having their last team morning skate of the season. Just thinking about it makes me emotional. Grabbing my MacBook, I logged on to the computer and decided to check up on everyone. Ever since I officially moved to California, I sadly had begun to lost touch with the girls and I feel bad.
I used to be with them practically 24/7 and now I feel like a ghost. The only times I can actually see them is certain weekends when I’m not busy, and also when Chicago or Kings have a home and away game against each other. Sighing as I logged into my social media accounts, I saw a few messages from Sarah, Ashley and Kat. None from Jammy because well I already talk to her on the phone enough times that I know our friendship isn’t drifting.
I did know that everyone was here for the return on RAW, but all I could do was watch it from home. I would have enjoyed watching my friends kick the shit out of everyone, but at last, I couldn’t, I hate being sick and well pregnant for that matter. Deciding to turn on the TV and put on Netflix, I sighed happily due to the fact that I was only on season 2 of Gossip Girl and not further. Bless the heavens above.
Middle of episode 3, I heard the front door beginning to jiggle. Looking over at my security cam, I smiled noticing that it was my loving husband, Dustin.
“Tay!” Dustin called from the front door. I heard bags, so I really hope he brought food.
“In the bedroom! Did you bring food?” I asked quickly pausing Netflix.
“Yeah, I got In-N-Out.”
This is why he’s my husband. Throwing the covers off of me, I quickly left the room and went downstairs. Not even paying attention to what I was doing, I tripped over the first step and began tumbling down the steps. The last thing I heard was Dustin calling my name till my eyes flew shut and everything went black.
~~~~ Corey’s POV in Chicago ~~~~

It feels weird waking up to not hearing Jamila’s snores and Christina’s cries for her mother’s bacon. I guess this is what fatherhood feels like when the mother is out and about. Looking at the clock, I realized that I have to be at the United Center in less than an hour. I wasn’t looking forward to getting ready to play against St. Louis. For some reason, I’m just not feeling it at much as I wanted to, but looks like I have to tough it out I guess.

Getting out of bed, I quickly shot Jamila a good morning text and hopped into the shower. Tonight was going to be weird because my family isn’t going to be in the crowd. At least I was able to get a good luck reward before we split. After a good 20 minutes in the shower, I walked out with a towel around my waist and reentered my room, just to find Amy inside, texting on her phone.

“Amy!” I shouted, causing her to jump off the bed.

Covering her eyes, Amy groaned “Why don’t you have clothes on?!”

“I just came out of the shower, you idiot. What are you doing in here?”

“Jammy wants to know if you gave Chrissy her medication, yet.” Amy told me.

“Um, obviously not. Why don’t you go give it to her?” I rolled my eyes, when Amy nodded her head and left my room to go give Christina her medicine.
AU
Ever since she was just a year old, Christina started acting out a lot. Asking questions, covering her ears at games and even throwing tantrums a lot. We went to the doctors to make sure that she everything is okay, but we were told that she Autism. Something that ran in Jamila’s family because of her little brother. And from here on out, Christina has been taking medication to reduce the risk of seizures and fainting.

The only thing is, no one, expect this household, my family and Jamila’s family know about Christina’s condition. After tightening my tie, I grabbed my phone and went downstairs. Christina was bouncing on the couch and eating her cereal, I’m guessing that’s the substitute for home cooked meal. Telling Christina and Amy goodbye, I left the house with all of my belongings and made my way to the arena, hoping and praying no one knows that I’m a bit late.

~~~~ My POV in Los Angeles ~~~~
I was glad that Hunter told Kat, myself and Jenny we didn’t need to be back till WrestleMania. Literally having a long few days to ourselves is something that we all needed. Mostly me, because having a 3 year old is exhausting.
Kat, Sarah, Ashley and myself were watching Grey’s Anatomy and getting emotional because one of our favorite characters had just died. I don’t what it is, but after that scene, I had a strange feeling that something bad just happened. I don’t know what it was.
Suddenly my phone began ringing. I groaned aimlessly because I didn’t feel like getting up, but I had to anyway. Looking at the incoming call after I walked over to the ringing device, I furred my eyebrows, not knowing why Dustin was calling me. Because it’s extremely not usual that Dustin calls.
“Hello Brownie.” I smiled, answering the phone.
“It’s Taylor! She- She fell and I don’t kn-”
I wasn’t even 100% sure what Dustin was even saying, so I literally told him to calm the hell down and repeat what he just said.
“Taylor. She was coming down the steps, and she slipped! There was so much blood, oh my god…” Dustin frantically said.
“What hospital?!”
“Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center.”
After he told me the hospital, I turned to the girls who were in shock as much as I was. But I was still in a state of shock because my best friend literally was in the hospital and she could have just lost her baby…
“Jam?” Sarah asked me.
“What’s going on?” Kat asked me next.
“Taylor got into an accident… she uh,” I started to explain while getting my stuff together “She fell down the steps. Son of a bitch, where is my phone!?” I yelled, becoming more panic than usual.
“Calm down! Sarah go get the keys and Ashley just stay here. We’ll let you know if everything is okay.” Kat said, gripping my shoulders and telling me to calm down.
I couldn’t calm down, all I could think about right now is if my best friend is even alive and if she still had her precious little human.
***
Running into the hospital after almost 45 minutes of driving, I went straight to the front desk and instantly asked for Taylor Brown. Going to the directions that were instructed to me, I quickly ran down a few hallways, Sarah and Kat trying to catch up with me at the same time as well.
When I saw Taylor’s room number, I went into the room, ignoring the nurses that were telling me to stay out of the room and gasped when I saw Taylor. I covered my mouth knowing the worse, I hated this feeling, and I hated all of it. Kat and Sarah were talking to Dustin, asking him what the hell even happened to Taylor.
“D-Dustin…” Taylor whispered softly, her eyes slowly beginning to open.
I didn’t say anything, I wanted Dustin to be the first person she sees when she opened her eyes fully.
“I’m here Taylor” Dustin said, holding Taylor’s hand tightly around his.
“What happened? Is the baby okay?”
